The incident, which occurred in 2004 on a flight during a music tour arranged by Nigerian Breweries, has sparked considerable discussion and debate over the years.

KCee’s account aimed to clarify the events surrounding the altercation while also defending Eedris Abdulkareem’s behavior and reputation.

Instead, 50 Cent’s staff sparked a fight with Eedris over seating arrangements in the plane’s business class section.

According to KCee, Eedris claimed he was entitled to the same treatment as 50 Cent under a contract with Nigerian Breweries. Eedris refused to leave his seat, resulting in a physical conflict with 50 Cent’s crew.

The event swiftly escalated and drew the attention of Nigeria’s then-President Olusegun Obasanjo, causing the Inspector General of Police to step in.

KCee further said that his brother, E-Money, who was managing him at the time, had filmed the entire affair with a camcorder.

However, the situation escalated when 50 Cent’s staff forcibly confiscated the recording device to prevent the tape from being released. This aggressive action emphasized the heated mood surrounding the altercation.

Despite the unfavorable attention surrounding the event, KCee supported Eedris Abdulkareem, describing him as enthusiastic about the Nigerian music industry. While noting Eedris’ shortcomings and combative manner, KCee highlighted his contributions to the business.

Other industry stalwarts, including Jaywon and Paul Okoye, expressed similar comments, acknowledging Eedris’s considerable impact on Nigerian music.

In summary, KCee’s discoveries shed light on a pivotal era in Nigerian music history, emphasizing the intricacies and tensions that can occur amongst artists.

The episode serves as a reminder of the difficulties and problems that come with popularity and success in the music industry, while also demonstrating the perseverance and enthusiasm of individuals who contribute to its growth and evolution.
