Kano keke rider who returned missing N15m gets N250M scholarship
Awwalu Salisu, the 23-year-old commercial tricyclist (keke rider) from Kano who returned missing N15M , has been offered a N250 million scholarship up to the PhD level.
It owuld be recall that in 2023, a Chadian businessman left N15 million in his tricycle. and Salisu returned the money.
Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, was the first to give Awwalu scholarships at the PhD level at Baze University in Abuja.

Following his statement that the Labour Party cannot be allowed to overshadow the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Niger State Governor Mohammed Umar Bago announced that Awwalu will get a N250 million scholarship in recognition of his act of integrity and to inspire other young Nigerians to emulate the virtue.
He stated that Awwalu will receive a N50 million scholarship each from him, President Bola Tinubu, his ministers, the APC Governors Forum, and the administration of Niger State.
Bago continued by saying he would give the Kano Keke rider’s name to one of the road projects he was working on in Niger State.
