Nigeria to send 358 athletes to compete in 25 sports at 13th African Games in Ghana
Nigeria will be represented by 358 athletes across 25 sports at the upcoming 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana.
The Nigerian contingent will aim for the top honors in completion that will Kickstart from March 8, through 23, 2024.
Completesports reports that Tony Nezianya, the public relations officer of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), confirmed the accreditation of Nigerian athletes during the Delegation Registration Meeting held on Monday, March 4.
Notably, Team Taekwondo, Wrestling, and Karate lead the pack with 14 athletes each, while Arm Wrestling follows closely behind with 15 athletes.

Other sports such as Weightlifting and Badminton will field 12-member teams, with Boxing comprising 11 pugilists and Judo with 10 representatives.
Scrabble, an intellectual sport, will be represented by eight members.
The comprehensive list of sports includes Arm Wrestling, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball 3 x 3 (female), Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Chess, Cricket, Cycling, Hockey, Football.
There are also, Handball, Judo, Karate, Mixed Martial Arts, Rugby, Scrabble, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Volleyball, Weightlifting, and Wrestling, all making up the 358 athletes.
