Serie A: Chukwueze on target as Milan thrash Verona 3-1
Nigeria’s Samuel Chukwueze was on target as AC Milan continued their strong Serie A campaign with a crucial 3-1 win over Verona.
Ten victory extended Milan’s lead over third-place Juventus to three points.
The Rossoneri entered the match on the back of a Europa League quarter-final qualification and welcomed back key players Rafael Leao and Alessandro Florenzi from Serie A bans.
Despite a spirited performance from Verona, who were aiming to break clear of the bottom three, Milan proved too strong.

Theo Hernandez opened the scoring with an individual effort, sprinting down the left and scoring from a tight angle.
Christian Pulisic doubled Milan’s lead after Pawel Dawidowicz was caught napping, with Pulisic ready to pounce on the rebound.
Verona managed to pull one back with a fine strike from Tijjani Noslin, but Milan responded swiftly.
Substitute Samuel Chukwueze sealed the victory for Milan with a beautiful volley from inside the area.
