Cardi B faces $50 million copyright infringement lawsuit
Popular American rapper Cardi B is currently in the news after she was slapped with a lawsuit for a potential copyright violation.
Two vocalists from Texas and Oklahoma sued Cardi B, alleging that she exploited their material in her tune “Enough (Miami)” without a valid license.
It is worth noting that Cardi B’s single “Enough (Miami)” was a commercial triumph, reaching the top ten when it was released in March.
According to insiders, Miguel Aguilar, also known as Kemika 1956, and Joshua Fraustro, or Sten Joddi, have revealed that Cardi B and her production team used portions from their 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” in her track.

The plaintiffs have noted that their song was even used as a promotional tool for the FX series “Reservation.”
This lawsuit names Atlantic Records, Warner Music Group, and producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo as co-defendants, in addition to Cardi B.
Interestingly, the plaintiffs published “Greasy Frybread” about three years before Cardi B launched “Enough (Miami)” on March 15, 2024.
