Brighton pulled off a remarkable late comeback, defeating Manchester City 2-1 at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.

The loss marked City’s fourth consecutive loss in all competitions.

Erling Haaland initially gave City the lead with a first-half goal, but Brighton regrouped, firing double in the second 45 minutes.

Joao Pedro leveled the score in the 78th minute, shortly afterward, Matt O’Riley, back in action after an injury layoff, struck a dramatic winner to complete the Seagulls’ comeback.

The loss adds to City’s recent struggles, following last weekend’s 2-1 Premier League defeat against Bournemouth and a 4-1 loss to Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.

Before then, they already suffered a 2-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup.
