Husband texts wife via smart TV after failing to answer calls, sparks online buzz
A heartwarming and amusing story has emerged on social media after a woman, identified as @LivingWithTola on X (formerly Twitter), revealed her husband’s creative way of getting her attention.
Sharing a snapshot of her TV screen, the woman explained that her husband, unable to reach her via phone after she sent him to buy bread, resorted to sending a message directly to their smart TV.
“When my husband goes to the store and he’s desperately trying to reach me, he sends messages to the TV,” she captioned the post, which quickly went viral.
The message on the TV read, “Tola, Answer your phone. What do you mean by flatbread. Is it Naan Bread or wraps?”
In a follow-up tweet, she noted that this wasn’t the first time her husband had used this method. She also addressed the range of reactions her post received.
“The responses to this tweet started cute but we’ve now reached ‘face me I slap you neighborhood,’ so people are losing their minds.
“I’m home taking care of two kids, so I don’t have to look at my phone, and he would have spent max £2 extra buying both. Anyway, let’s keep it cute,” she added.
