Napoli are reportedly nearing an agreement with Manchester United to sign winger Alejandro Garnacho.

The Serie A giants are prepared to meet United’s £50 million valuation.

According to Corriere dello Sport, negotiations have been ongoing for weeks, and Napoli are now ready to finalize the deal.

This follows their sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to PSG for £70 million, leaving a void on the wing.

Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna is expected in England on Monday to complete the transfer, with Garnacho already giving his approval after speaking to Napoli manager Antonio Conte.

For Manchester United, the decision to sell the 20-year-old is financially strategic.

Garnacho, being a homegrown player, would generate pure profit for the club, easing concerns over potential Profit and Sustainability Rule breaches.

The Red Devils are also planning ahead and have identified Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu as a potential replacement.

The 20-year-old Danish international, highly rated for his versatility, has impressed this season, excelling both as a winger and a wing-back.

United are reportedly in advanced talks to bring him to Old Trafford.
