Portable sentenced to three months imprisonment
Controversy erupts as Nigerian street-hop artiste, Portable sentenced to three months imprisonment with an option of a ₦30,000 fine.
According to reports,Portable was convicted on a three-count charge for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
The incident occurred in March 2023 after Portable physically attacked Inspector Hammed Moshood at Odogwu Bar, Oke-Osa, Ilogbo, causing injury to the officer’s nose.
He also violently resisted officers attempting to serve him an arrest warrant.
After jumping bail, Portable was eventually apprehended and remanded in custody before bconvicted by the Magistrate Court in Ifo, Ogun State.
The controversy surrounding his sentencing has sparked buzz online, with his management team yet to break silence.
Notably, Portable was recently embroiled in a lawsuit with the Ogun State government and granted ₦2 million bail.
Additionally, he was involved in a defamation lawsuit with Fuji icon, Saheed Osupa.
