Osimhen open to Man United move as €75m talks progress
Victor Osimhen is reportedly open to a summer switch to Manchester United, with negotiations over a potential €75 million deal already in motion, according to Footmercato.
Following a turbulent 2024/25 campaign, manager Ruben Amorim is set to revamp United’s squad, with the striking department a key priority.
The Portuguese coach has shortlisted four targets for the No.9 role, with Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres and Osimhen topping the list.
Osimhen, who was heavily courted by Premier League clubs last summer, ended up on loan at Galatasaray after his relationship with Napoli deteriorated and his hefty price tag scared off suitors.
The 26-year-old has since rediscovered his form in Turkey, netting 33 goals in 37 appearances and powering Galatasaray toward the Super Lig title.
With Galatasaray unable to afford his €75m release clause, the door is now open for United.
However, Amorim is also exploring alternative options like Gyokeres, who he previously coached at Sporting CP.
Meanwhile, United’s immediate focus remain on the Europa League, where they hold a 3-0 aggregate lead heading into Thursday’s semi-final second leg against Athletic Club.
Champions League qualification through continental success could further boost their summer transfer ambitions.
