Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe seal loan deal for Al-Nassr forward Jhon Duran
Fenerbahçe have reached a full agreement with Al-Nassr to sign Jhon Duran on a one-year loan deal, Gistreel sports understands.
The move will see the 21-year-old Colombian forward return to European football just six months after leaving Aston Villa for Saudi Arabia.
Duran impressed in his brief stint at Al-Nassr, netting 12 goals in 18 appearances, but his exit is part of a broader wage restructuring at the Saudi club following Cristiano Ronaldo’s renewed, high-value contract, per Foot Mercato.
With Al-Nassr under pressure to manage their salary commitments, Duran has been deemed expendable despite his on-field impact.
The striker is reportedly set to reunite with European competition and will join a José Mourinho-led Fenerbahçe squad with ambitions to reclaim domestic dominance and make an impact in Europe.
Fenerbahçe’s Sporting Director, Devin Özek, is currently in Colombia to finalize personal terms with the player.
The Turkish club are prepared to offer close to €10 million in salary for the season, a raise from what Duran currently earns in Riyadh.
