Eze nearing £55m Arsenal move after Community Shield win
Arsenal are reportedly close to sealing a deal for Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze, according to FootballTransfers.
The 27-year-old, instrumental in Palace’s penalty shootout win over Liverpool in Sunday’s Community Shield, has been on the Gunners’ radar all summer.
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to pay £55million, with £30million upfront, but Palace are holding off on finalising the transfer until a replacement is secured.
Eze, who joined Palace from QPR in 2020, has developed into one of the Premier League’s top creative midfielders.
The move would add to Arsenal’s summer business, which has already seen Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres arrive at the Emirates.
