Stan Nze, 36, and Blessing Jessica Obasi-Nze, an actress and producer, married in a spectacular ceremony on September 11, 2021. Their union has given them the loving titles of Nollywood’s power couple, with Mazi and Lolo Nze among their devoted followers.
Their bond is defined by a strong sense of oneness and unwavering support. They eagerly announced the birth of their first child, a newborn boy named Jayden Chimebuka Nzediegwu, on September 16, 2023, and took to social media to share their joy with their dedicated followers.
Stan Nze Controversies
Stan has mainly maintained a positive public image, but he has faced some social media scrutiny. He took a temporary sabbatical from social media ahead of his 2021 wedding to avoid being mentally drained by popular celebrity breakups, and he wanted to keep his cool while preparing.
After the marriage, numerous critics pointed to the age difference between him and his bride, actress Blessing Jessica Obasi, accusing him of marrying “an older woman”. Stan carefully explained his decision, emphasising the love, friendship, and peace she provides.
The couple named their first kid Jayden Chimebuka in 2023, which sparked online discussion about selecting a “foreign” name. Stan chose not to comment publicly, preferring to ignore the noise. Another dispute came when a troll criticised Blessing for not using her husband’s surname on social media. Stan quickly defended her, emphasising that love and respect are more important than names.
He also dealt with an unproven rumour linking him romantically to co-star Osas Ighodaro, which rapidly faded due to a lack of evidence. In 2025, he described one of his most upsetting events as a misquoted interview headline that sensationalised his wife’s age rather than focusing on his work.
Finally, in a light-hearted but awkward moment, a fan publicly offered herself as his “side chick” in a comment thread, prompting widespread mockery online. Despite these instances, Stan continues to handle public pressure calmly and maturely, focusing on his family and career.
