Alex Usifo Omiagbo, born April 16, 1953, is a well-known Nigerian actor who has played key roles in a number of Nollywood films.

Alex was born on April 16, 1953, in Edo State to his parents, but grew up in Lagos State. Alex is the son of Barnabas Omiagbo, the father, and Patricia Anobi Omiagbo, the mother. Usifo has Nigerian nationality and citizenship. He is a Christian of African descent and black race. However, information regarding his brothers and sisters is absent and has to be added.
Alex began his career when he appeared in Without Love. Usifo rose to prominence in the industry after starring in the film Ripples.
Usifo has been featured in Nollywood movies alongside renowned industry legends like Ugezu J Ugezu, Cinenye Ubah, Olu Jacobs, Chinenye Nnebe, Ken Erics Ugo, Pete Edochie, Yul Edochie, Mike Ezuruonye, Leo Ewuzie, Zubby Michael, Chika Ike, Chacha Eke, Genevieve Nnaji, Funke Akindele, and Olu Jacobs, among others.
Career
Usifo auditioned for several media outlets, including Radio Nigeria Lagos, Voice of Nigeria, and NTA Ilorin. He made the top list but was dropped due to the ‘Quota System’. He was unemployed for several years. Alex attended a Deeper Life Crusade at the invitation of his friend/brother Peter Okun, where he frantically sought God for a change in his situation and received the following response: ‘search inwardly’.
His acting career began in 1984, when he performed a key role in the telefilm The Return of the Native. He played lead roles in Natas and Two People. He began attending NTA on Victoria Island to participate in the weekly series At Your Service. He took part in NTA shows such as Echoes of Life and Turning Wheel between 1984 and 1987.
In 1988, he gained recognition for his role in Zeb Ejiro’s soap opera Ripples. Usifo represented Talaab Abass. There were few soap operas on television at the time; therefore, the show was groundbreaking. Talaab Abass was the villain. Alex portrayed the role with bulging eyes and a baritone voice.
Usifo was well-known before Nollywood existed. He performed in several stage plays, including Awero. This was performed in the National Theatre in Iganmu. He appeared in Ola Rotimi’s Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again!, which was staged at the National Theatre. He appeared on the radio and in film.
