“TD Jakes recovering well” – Bishop’s daughter, Sarah
Sarah Jakes Robert, daughter of Bishop TD Jakes, has given an update on the health status of her father, stating that he is recovering well.
She made this known in a video shared on social media on Sunday night.
Recall that Bishop TD Jakes, who is the founding pastor of the Potter’s House Church, a mega-church based in Dallas, had suffered a medical emergency while preaching in his church on Sunday.
Jakes was on stage on Sunday finishing an hour-long sermon when he lowered his mic and began to shudder. A crowd of people quickly rushed over and surrounded him on stage.
He was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
His daughter and son-in-law, in the video shared, however, maintained that the Bishop is doing well and recovering well.
They expressed their gratitude for the love, prayers and support the Bishop had received, stating that it would have been a tragic day for the family.
They stated, “We want to thank you all for your prayers, support and concerns, it has truly been a blessing. Today could have been a tragic day, but it wasn’t.
“Bishop is doing well, he’s recovering well, he’s at the medical care, he’s strong. We are trying to get him to sit down. He’s the strong bishop that we know.”
