Chelsea’s Maresca clarifies Chukwuemeka’s absence from FA Cup squad
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka will not feature in the team’s FA Cup match on Saturday.
Maresca stated, “Carney won’t be included in tomorrow’s game, he is a good player but we have so many midfield players that he will struggle for minutes.”

Chelsea midfield include players such as Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Chukwuemeka who joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2022 has experienced injury setbacks since his arrival, which has affected his playing time.
Expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window, clubs like AC Milan and Barcelona have made enquiries for the forward.
