Super Eagles target Nwaneri makes EPL Team of the Week after stellar Arsenal performance
Ethan Nwaneri has been named in WhoScored’s Premier League Team of the Week for Gameweek 25 after his impressive performance in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Leicester City.
The 17-year-old forward registered his first senior assist, delivering a cross for Mikel Merino’s header in the 81st minute.
He also completed seven successful dribbles, the highest of any player in the league over the weekend.
With a rating of 9.69, Nwaneri was deployed as a right-sided midfielder in a team that also includes Everton’s Carlos Alcaraz and Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush.
He has now recorded seven goals and one assist in 24 appearances across all competitions this season.
