Food vendor reportedly builds kitchen with NYSC allowance
A Nigerian food vendor has inspired many after revealing that she was able to build her own kitchen using her one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) allowance of N77,000 per month.
The vendor, who goes by @foodboxvendorsinipaja on TikTok, documented the entire process in a video, showing the construction of her kitchen from start to finish.
In the clip, she expressed gratitude and joy over the milestone, writing: “Finally!.. it’s a dream come true… my mini kitchen space built from scratch 8 months of sweat, hard work, grace and some seasoning… it wasn’t an easy one but God made it happen.”
Her story has since gone viral, with many Nigerians praising her determination, discipline, and ability to maximise her NYSC allowance to achieve a tangible goal. Others, however, doubted the possibility of saving so much.
