Four Real Madrid stars etch their names in history books after Champions League glory
Real Madrid on Saturday night claimed their 15th Champions League title, stretching their dominance in the European competition.
In the process, four of their players—Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Nacho Fernandez, and Dani Carvajal—made history.
Kroos, Modric, Nacho, and Carvajal each claimed their sixth Champions League trophy, equaling the record held by Real Madrid legend Paco Gento.
Gento won his titles when the competition was known as the European Cup, securing victories in 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, and 1966.

For Modric, Nacho, and Carvajal, all six victories came with Real Madrid in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2024.
Kroos, however, won his first title with Bayern Munich in 2013 before joining Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, recall Kroos is set to retire after the Euro 2024, ending his chance to surpass Gento’s record.
Modric, who is staying for another season, along with Carvajal, contracted until 2025, still have opportunities to claim a seventh title.
For Nacho, his future at Real Madrid remains uncertain, with decisions expected in the coming days.
