Kroos shines with 99 percent pass accuracy as Germany thrash Scotland 5-1

Germany began their EURO 2024 campaign with a 5-1 victory over Scotland, dominating the match from start to finish.

Florian Wirtz opened the scoring for Germany with a powerful shot from just outside the box.

Jamal Musiala quickly doubled the lead with another strike, putting Germany in control within 20 minutes.

A critical moment came just before half-time when Scotland defender Ryan Porteous was sent off for a rash challenge, conceding a penalty that Kai Havertz converted to make it 3-0.

The second half saw Germany maintain their dominance.

Substitute Niclas Füllkrug added a fourth with a stunning top-corner finish.

Despite an own goal by Antonio Rüdiger, Emre Can capped the performance with his first international goal in seven years, bringing the final score to 5-1.

Meanwhile, Germany’s midfield maestro, Toni Kroos, was exceptional, completing 101 of 102 passes for a 99% accuracy rate.

His flawless first half saw him make 55 perfect passes.

The win gives Germany a significant boost as they prepare to face Hungary on Wednesday in Stuttgart.
