Gunmen attack Labour Party youth chairman in Edo
Unknown gunmen have attacked the Youth Chairman of the Labour Party (LP) in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, Edo State, Osagie Odigie.
Odigie was assaulted by the armed men gunmen on Tuesday in Benin City.
The incident took place at Odigie’s residence in the Edo State capital.
Although details of the attack are still unclear, sources said that Odigie, who sustained gunshot wounds, has been transported to an undisclosed hospital for immediate medical care.
This attack is coming three months ahead of the scheduled September 19, 2024 governorship election in the state.
