Woman gets hopes of marriage dashed for not taking gifts to visit her fiance’s home
A Nigerian lady might have ruined her chances of marriage as her fiance’s family questions his choice because she did not bring gifts to their home on her first visit.
The story was posted on the microblogging platform, X, by user, @Jemeelahh_, who received the message anonymously.
The sister of the supposed groom shared the story, revealing that she felt bad for her brother’s fiancee.
They had gotten engaged and the first time she visited the house, she didn’t take any gifts to them.

“My brother’s fiancee’s first meeting with my parents didn’t go well. She didn’t bring any gift, not even a small bread, which they found quite thoughtless.
As a result, they have serious reservations about her suitability as a partner for my brother, which I think is a bit extreme. I feel sorry for her”
