House Committee on Health Lauds Amuwo-Odofin Primary Health Centers, Urges Continued Excellence

The Lagos State House of Assembly’s House Committee on Health, led by Hon. Lawal Aina Musbau, embarked on a working visit to the Amuwo-Odofin Local Government primary health centers to assess their operations and provide recommendations.

The committee was warmly received by the Executive Chairman, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh, who showcased the facilities and services offered by the health centers. The primary health centers, which serve as the first point of contact for healthcare services, provide essential medical care, maternal and child health services, immunization, and health education.

Impressed by the smooth operations and quality care provided, the committee commended the healthcare professionals and staff for their dedication and hard work. Hon. Lawal emphasized the critical role primary health centers play in ensuring access to healthcare, particularly for vulnerable populations. He encouraged the staff to continue their excellent work, urging them not to rest on their oars.

The visit aimed to ensure that primary healthcare services meet the required standards, aligning with the state government’s vision for quality healthcare delivery. The committee’s recommendations will enhance the health centers’ performance, benefiting the community.

By strengthening primary health centers, the state government aims to improve health outcomes, reduce morbidity and mortality rates, and enhance the overall well-being of citizens.
