Arsenal reject Ajax loan offer for Aaron Ramsdale
Arsenal have rejected an approach from Ajax for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, Gistreel Sports understands.
The Dutch giants reportedly proposed an initial loan deal for the 25-year-old, who has seen his playing time reduce since the arrival of David Raya from Brentford.
Ramsdale joined Arsenal in 2021 for £30 million from Sheffield United, becoming the club’s most expensive goalkeeper at the time.
Over his tenure, he has made 89 appearances across all competitions and played a key role in Arsenal’s Community Shield victory in 2023.

However, his position at the club has come under threat, with Raya now firmly established as the Gunners’ first-choice keeper following his permanent move in 2024.
Despite making just six Premier League appearances last season and missing out on Arsenal’s recent pre-season friendlies, Ramsdale remains a sought-after player.
Ajax, 36-time Eredivisie champions, have expressed strong interest, aiming to bolster their squad with the experienced shot-stopper.
However, Arsenal are not interested in a loan arrangement for now.
