#OndoDecides2024: Aiyedatiwa leads with over 200k votes
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the ongoing Ondo State gubernatorial election, is leading by a wide margin as the collation of results nears completion.
According to figures released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Aiyedatiwa has secured 301,113 votes, significantly ahead of Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who has 97,051 votes. The 204,062-vote gap underscores the APC’s strong showing in the election so far.
Results from three Local Government Areas (LGAs) are still pending as the collation process continues at INEC’s office in Akure, the state capital.

The collation, which began at 12:35 a.m., is being supervised by the Returning Officer, Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lokoja.
