Policeman captured in viral video abusing Naira, detained – NPF
The Nigeria Police Force, has arrested and detained one of its officers captured in a viral video, abusing the Naira.
Recall that an officer had been captured in a video that went viral on the social media, holding bundles of money for the sons of Lagos business man, Chief Okoya.
The Force’s public relations officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Friday, condemned the act, describing it as unethical.
He stated that the officer will face disciplinary actions for his behavior.
This however, did not go down well with some Nigerians, as according to them, the Police is punishing the wrong person.
One of such persons, Morris Monye,expressed his disappointment in the Police.
He stated that the officer is getting punished for the offence of the kids because he is poor.
He said, “Rich kids came online and did all sorts with the naira, poor policeman wey stand on him own (literally doing nothing)you detain.
Poor man no get rights for this country.”
