Funke Akindele, who recently faced controversy over payment details for a movie crew member, opens up about the profound impact of her mother’s passing.
In a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Funke Akindele described her mother’s passing as a profoundly challenging period.
During the interview, the actress opened up about single parenting, revealing that the emotional toll of her mother’s passing.
“I do not like to mourn. I remember when my mom passed on, I just wanted to get out of it quickly. I like to get out of the situation quickly. I do not allow myself to break down, and it affected me after my mom’s death. I almost died”,She stated.
Additionally, she addressed the controversy surrounding the amount she paid to a crew member, tackling the backlash head-on.
“Do you know what I’m going through?. I lost my mum, my marriage fell apart, I lost in politics, I have to get back to work, I have to earn a living. I have children I’m raising alone and you are stressing me. So, for the first time, I cried. I broke down for weeks”, She added.
Recall that Funke Akindele recently faced backlash over Ijoba Lande’s claim of a N90,000 payment to for a one-month movie project.
