Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal are increasingly optimistic about securing a move for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, with the midfielder reportedly weighing the offer alongside his family.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Riyadh-based club believes it is “close” to landing the 29-year-old after several productive rounds of discussions.

While no official bid has been submitted to United, Al-Hilal have reportedly given Fernandes a deadline of Friday, June 6, to make a decision.

Sources suggest the Portuguese international has been offered a staggering £200 million package over three years.

Despite the lucrative terms, Fernandes is said to be carefully considering the implications of a move to the Middle East with his loved ones.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are publicly maintaining their stance that Fernandes is not for sale this summer.

However, insiders believe the club may not block a potential transfer if the player formally requests an exit.

Al-Hilal, backed by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, are aiming to finalise major signings before the FIFA Club World Cup kicks off.

Bringing Fernandes onboard would mark another marquee addition following previous high-profile acquisitions such as Neymar and Ruben Neves.

Fernandes, who joined United in 2020, remains under contract at Old Trafford and is a central figure in Ruben Amorim’s setup.
