Brighton & Hove Albion Women have confirmed the signing of Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.

Nnadozie is set to join the club officially on July 1, following the expiration of her contract with Paris FC.

Nnadozie, a two-time CAF Goalkeeper of the Year, arrives as a high-profile addition for the Women’s Super League side.

Her move coincides with the departure of fellow Nigerian and 2022 U17 national invitee Comfort Erhabor, who leaves Brighton after multiple loan spells, including stints at Hibernian, Plymouth Argyle, and Portsmouth.

The 23-year-old Nnadozie made 118 appearances for Paris FC since her 2020 switch from Rivers Angels, where she had already carved out a strong domestic record.

She won the Nigeria Women’s Premier League and three Nigeria Women’s Cups. She was also IFFHS Africa’s Best Woman Goalkeeper in 2019.

Internationally, Nnadozie has been capped 55 times and is part of Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

She played in 16 UEFA Women’s Champions League matches and starred in the 2025 Coupe de France final, earning multiple Best Goalkeeper awards in 2024.

Brighton reportedly beat interest from Everton to land the in-form shot-stopper.
