Transfer: Liverpool turn down Bayern Munich approach for Luis Diaz
Liverpool have turned down an approach from Bayern Munich for Colombian winger Luis Diaz, maintaining their stance that the 28-year-old is not for sale this summer.
According to reports, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl was informed that the Merseyside club considers Diaz untouchable, and talks did not progress beyond initial contact.
This marks the second time Liverpool have rebuffed interest in the attacker this window, having previously dismissed a similar inquiry from Barcelona.
Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr have also been linked with Diaz, but Liverpool’s position remains unchanged.
Diaz is regarded as a key figure in Liverpool’s future under Arne Slot, and the club’s hierarchy is determined to retain his services.
The former Porto man was instrumental in Liverpool’s 2024/25 Premier League title-winning campaign, registering 13 goals and five assists across all competitions.
Since joining Liverpool in January 2022 for a deal worth up to £49 million, Diaz has made 148 appearances and scored 41 goals, contributing to Premier League, FA Cup, and League Cup triumphs.
