Protest erupts as Benin police officer assaults bus driver over ₦100
A police officer in Benin reportedly assaulted a bus driver over ₦100, sparking protests captured in a video circulating on X, formerly Twitter.
The post, shared by user @TheBeninBlogger, shows the police officers being confronted by a large crowd of men and women who followed them, expressing outrage as the officers walked.
In the video, a voice can be heard condemning the police, saying the officers wanted to kill an innocent person over just ₦100. The voice says, “Because of ₦100, you want to kill an innocent soul.”
