The Chairman of Take Back Festac-Amuwo, Valentine Uduebo, speaks:, “We are embarking on this journey, mutually guided by the essence of sanity, prosperity, and peaceful coexistence, through holistic resolve. Our roads are the worst in Nigeria, resulting in increased criminal activities and insecurity. Our social lives are cut short by the rate of decay of government utilities.”
Uduebo further lamented that the walkways had been taken over by street traders, mechanics, motorcycle riders, and cattle rearing, alleging that rather than ensuring sanity, some local government officials were collecting tolls from the traders.“We are calling on President Bola Tinubu to please declare a state of emergency in Festac-Amuwo town, a community with over 98% federal government territory”, he said.
