Emir of Daura endorses President Tinubu for 2027 presidency
The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Farouk Umar, has declared President Bola Tinubu as the Daura Emirate’s preferred candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
He made the statement on Saturday while receiving Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who led a delegation of prominent women on a condolence visit to the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.
The First Lady was accompanied by the wives of top government officials, including leaders of the National Assembly, governors, ministers, and service chiefs.
During the visit, the delegation met with Hajia Aisha Buhari, the widow of the late President, offering prayers for his soul and strength for the family.
They also visited Buhari’s gravesite for a brief prayer and later proceeded to the home of Alhaji Mamman Daura, Buhari’s uncle, who thanked them for their visit.
Senator Tinubu also paid respects at the Emir’s palace, where the monarch expressed Daura Emirate’s continued support for President Tinubu and praised his leadership
