Why I don’t want to run for office at the moment – Kamala Harris
Former US Vice President, Kamala Harris has revealed why she’s not running for office currently.
In a recent interview with Stephen Colbert, she expressed her disappointment with the current state of US politics.
“I always believed that, as fragile as our democracy is, our systems would be strong enough to defend our most fundamental principles. I think right now that they’re not as strong as they need to be”, She stated.
According to her, she feels democratic institutions aren’t strong enough to defend fundamental principles.
Harris emphasized her commitment to public service, aiming to travel the country and engage with people without being transactional.
“I want to travel the country. I want to listen to people. I want to talk to people. I don’t want it to be transactional where I’m asking for their vote”, She noted.
