Woman loses newborn due to church’s doctrine
A grieving woman has recounted how she lost her newborn due to complications from pre-eclampsia, which stemmed from her church’s doctrine.
In a now-viral video, the woman, born into a church that forbids medicine and hospital visits, refused antenatal care and multivitamins during her pregnancy.
However, as her condition worsened, she secretly visited a doctor and was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, which required urgent hospitalization.
“I started having complications. I visited a doctor without family , husband and parents knowing about it. It came out that I was suffering from pre-eclampsia”,She stated.
According to her, she informed her husband, who declined medical attention until one night when she became unconscious.
All efforts to revive her were futile, and her husband eventually rushed her to the hospital. Upon arrival, the doctor insisted on an emergency cesarean section due to her critically high blood pressure, which posed a significant risk to her life.
She revealed that despite agreeing to the surgery, her husband expressed reservations about the use of medication and vowed to hold the hospital accountable if anything went wrong.
However, the operation was carried out, and when the baby was born, it had severe complications.
The baby spent a month in the (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) NICU, before passing away.
Following the tragic incident, she has vowed not to attend the church again, while her husband is threatening her with divorce.
