A Nigerian man has called on the federal government to jail Fuji musician K1 De Ultimate for allegedly attempting to stop an aircraft from flying, saying the singer violated two sections of the Criminal Code Act.

He made the statement in a post on his X formerly Twitter account, @trigottista, sharing a photo of a page from the Criminal Code Act which outlines offences relating to aircraft operations.

In the highlighted portion of the document, one section read:

459A Obstructing Aircraft“Any person who, by any unlawful act, obstructs, causes an alteration to be made in the course of or in any way whatsoever hinders or impedes the movement of any aircraft, which is in motion on or in flight over any aerodrome, is guilty of a misdemeanour, and is liable to imprisonment for two years.”

Another section he referenced stated:

“459B Trespass on Aerodrome:” – “Any person who commits any nuisance or trespass in or upon any aerodrome or in or upon any building or premises situated on any aerodrome is guilty of a simple offence and is liable to imprisonment for three months or to a fine of forty naira.”

This comes days after K1 De Ultimate was reportedly involved in a scuffle with airport officials and a pilot at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The musician was initially suspended for six months, with the pilot involved also penalized.

However, after tendering an apology, federal authorities lifted the suspension and instead placed him on indefinite suspension pending the outcome of a full-scale investigation.

Not long after, the man demanded that K1 De Ultimate be jailed, citing the Criminal Code Act provisions which, according to him, prohibit the singer’s alleged actions.
