Raphinha shocked by Rashford’s miss in Barcelona win over Como
Marcus Rashford produced an empty net miss in Barcelona’s 4-0 pre-season win over Como, leaving teammate Raphinha visibly shocked.
The on-loan Manchester United forward rounded goalkeeper Jean Butez in the second half, only to send his shot wide of an empty net from close range.
The miss came with Barcelona already in control thanks to goals from Fermin Lopez, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.
Rashford had earlier provided the assist for Raphinha’s strike, but his open-goal miss overshadowed an otherwise routine victory for Hansi Flick’s side in their final pre-season outing.
The 27-year-old joined Barcelona this summer with an option for a permanent deal and scored his first goal for the club against Daegu FC on August 4.
However, the latest incident now raise questions over his sharpness ahead of Barca’s La Liga opener against Mallorca on August 16.
