In the shootout, Édouard Mendy proved decisive, making a crucial save that sealed Al-Ahli’s victory.
Despite enjoying just 38.2% possession, the Jeddah club’s efforts proved enough to deny Al-Nassr another piece of silverware.
For Ronaldo, who now has at least 100 goals for four different clubs and his country – Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al-Nassr, and Portugal, saw his personal record overshadowed by another lost final, as Al-Nassr’s hunt for major silverware continues.
