Conte nears Napoli managerial job as deal enters final stages
Antonio Conte is close to becoming Napoli’s new head coach, with a few details still need to be resolved before an official announcement is made.
According to Football Italia, while a general agreement on Conte’s salary has been reached, negotiations are ongoing to finalize image rights and potential penalty fees.
These issues are expected to be resolved Wednesday, between the former Chelsea and Tottenham’s manager’s camp and Napoli’s directors and lawyers.
Fabrizio Romano had earlier reported that Conte will sign a three-year deal at the Stadio Maradona, making him one of the highest-paid managers in Serie A.

However, the 54-year-old seeks full control over his image rights, which is a significant sticking point in the final stages of discussions.
Additionally, both parties are negotiating potential penalty clauses, which would apply if either party terminates the agreement early or if specific sporting objectives are not achieved.
