Omooba Deji Doherty Laid to Rest in Grand Style
Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos State – The burial rites of Omooba Deji Doherty, a renowned community leader, developer and philanthropist, took place on August 15 and 16, 2024, in Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos State. The ceremony was a grand success, with dignitaries from across the state in attendance.
The Service of Songs, held on August 15, was a celebration of Omooba Deji Doherty’s life, with eulogies and tributes paid to his memory. The chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh, and the family played host to guests, who came to pay their respects to the deceased.
The burial service and burial, held on August 16, were attended by a large crowd of mourners, who came to bid farewell to Omooba Deji Doherty. The ceremony was conducted with utmost respect and dignity, with the chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government and other dignitaries in attendance.
Omooba Deji Doherty is survived by his two wives, five children, and siblings, who were all present at the ceremony. The family expressed their gratitude to the chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government and all the dignitaries who attended the ceremony.
