Gabriel Magalhaes headed Arsenal to a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in a fiercely contested North London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

His decisive header came from a Bukayo Saka corner midway through the second half.

The match was a tight affair, with few clear chances on either side.

Tottenham started brightly, with Dejan Kulusevski forcing a save from David Raya and Dominic Solanke coming close with a header.

However, Arsenal’s defense, led by Gabriel and William Saliba, stood firm throughout.

The derby was also marked by its intensity, as both sides bagged eight yellow cards, seven of which came in the first half, equaling a Premier League record.

Arsenal’s crucial win that keep them just two points behind Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners will now look ahead to a massive clash with City next weekend at the Etihad Stadium.

Meanwhile, Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham endured another disappointing result, leaving them with only four points from their opening four Premier League matches.
