Liverpool’s Arne Slot feels ‘no sympathy’ for Pep Guardiola amid Man City crisis
Liverpool manager Arne Slot says he has no sympathy for Pep Guardiola as Manchester City endure their worst run in 20 years.
Recall the Reds defeated City 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday, extending their lead at the top of the Premier League to nine points while pushing Guardiola’s side down to fifth.
City are now winless in seven matches, a streak last experienced in 2004.
This includes four consecutive league defeats, an unwanted record in Guardiola’s managerial career.

They also suffered a 3-3 Champions League draw with Feyenoord where City squandered a three-goal lead.
The Despite City’s struggles, Slot dismissed the idea of pity for the Spaniard, pointing to his illustrious track record.
“Pep has won so many things. He has shown repeatedly why the league is not decided in November or December,” Slot said during his post-match press conference.
Highlighting last season’s comeback, when City overcame an eight-point gap in February to clinch the title, Slot emphasized his belief in Guardiola’s ability to turn things around.
“No one has to feel empathy or [feel] sorry for Pep, maybe for other managers, but not for Pep,” he added.
Slot has led Liverpool to 11 wins in 13 league matches this season, making them firm title contenders.
