Nigerian model Alex Adekwe has shared a shocking encounter with an impersonator who has been using his photos online to defraud unsuspecting individuals.

The impersonator, brazenly unapologetic, sent Adekwe a direct message on Instagram, warning him to stop exposing their activities.

According to him, the model frequently warns his followers to be wary of scammers which in turn affects the impersonator.

In a candid message, the fraudster wrote:
“Oga, you keep posting here telling people that you don’t have any account aside iamalexpearlie, you better behave yourself and stop spoiling my work.

“I’m only using you to cash out and after I’m done with a client, I always tell them I’m not the one in the photo and I always direct them to your main account, so you have nothing to worry about.

“Just be praying I get good clients that will pay well; I will reward you soon. All of us dey hustle, you can’t tell me you’re not into street or your brothers or your sisters. So you better respect yourself. Cus if you try that shit again, we go get problem. Pls post picture wey you snap inside car.”

Adekwe, clearly frustrated but also shocked at the audacity, shared the snapshot of the message with the caption:
“When you are being impersonated online and your impersonator reaches out to you.”
