Shawn Faqua (born June 6) is a Nigerian actor, model, and presenter who has received numerous award nominations. He is well recognised for his roles as Vincent in Lagos Cougars, Rambo in Dare Olaitan’s Ojukokoro, and Chuks in Emem Isong’s Code of Silence.

His work in Lagos Cougars won him four award nominations in Africa, including Best Young/Promising Actor at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards. Faqua has appeared in several African Magic films, including Out of the Ghetto (2015), After the Proposal (2015), Oasis (TV series), Red Card (2015), The Twin Sword (2014), A Love Like Ours (2011), Four Crooks and a Rookie (2011), Ebony Life’s A New You (2013), and others.

Faqua is a method actor who can successfully take on multiple accents as required by the character he plays. Faqua stars in Charles Novia’s Put a Ring on It as Cleopatra, a single woman who also plays Peter. Aside from screen acting, Faqua has appeared in various theatre plays.

He modelled for Lagos Business School, Guarantee Trust Bank, First City Monument Bank, fashion shows, and a variety of other companies. In addition to his acting career, he recorded a song for the short film ‘The Good Life’, performing the original soundtrack to the song ‘I Wanna Blow’.

Shawn Faqua was born during the 1990s. He was raised by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Faqua, and information about his siblings is still unknown.

Shawn studied at the University of Port Harcourt before graduating from Boston University’s Centre for Digital Imaging Arts. He identifies as Nigerian and follows the Christian faith.

Career

Shawn Faqua started his career as a model, appearing on billboards and in television ads. He also appeared as a presenter on various television shows. However, Faqua ultimately turned to acting in 2014 and has since established himself in the Nollywood film industry.

He has acted in various popular films such as “Lagos Cougars”, “Ojukokoro”, “Code of Silence”, “A New You”, “After the Proposal”, and “Render to Caesar.” In addition to his film work, Faqua has acted in the TV shows “Oasis” and “Head Over Heels”.
