The Headies (formerly known as the Hip Hop World Awards) are an accolade established in 2006 by the Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria to recognize outstanding achievement in the Nigerian music industry
The 10th edition of the HipHop Award (The Headies) just concluded on the 1st of January 2015 with Festac Town well represented.
Three Festac town groomed youngsters Oludemilade Martin Alejo (YCEE), Olanrewaju Ogunmefun (Vector the Viper) and Korede Bello all badged awards as follows:
- BEST POP SINGLE – Godwin – Korede Bello
- LYRICIST ON THE ROLL –King Kong – Vector
- ROOKIE OF THE YEAR – YCEE
And our icon 2face Idibia badged the LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT/HALL OF FAME award
