Marco Baroni arrives Rome to finalize Lazio head coach role after Igor Tudor’s exit
Marco Baroni has arrived in Rome ahead of his official unveiling as the new head coach of Lazio after Igor Tudor’s resignation.
The 60-year-old, previously in charge of Hellas Verona, is expected to sign a two-year contract with an option for a third season, as reported by Il Messaggero and Football Italia.
Baroni is set to earn over €1 million annually, plus bonuses, during his tenure with the Biancocelesti.
This appointment follows the recent resignation of Tudor, who left after just three months due to differing visions with the club’s management.

Tudor’s brief stint came after Maurizio Sarri’s resignation in March.
President Claudio Lotito disclosed that Tudor sought significant changes to the squad, desiring to replace around eight first-team players, which contributed to his departure.
Lotito was critical of Tudor’s short-lived achievements, stating that qualifying for Europe is a standard expectation for Lazio.
However, he assured fans that the club has clear plans for the future, hinting at Baroni’s imminent appointment.
