The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Unit in the Office of the Executive Chairman, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, successfully organized a stakeholders meeting with proprietors of private schools in the local government area. The meeting aimed to explore the adoption of CSR as a tool for community development.

The meeting, which took place on the 27th June, 2024 brought together esteemed proprietors of private schools to discuss collaborative ways to give back to the community. After fruitful deliberations, the proprietors agreed to support a joint CSR initiative targeted at indigent children in public schools.

The initiative, set to commence in September 2024, aims to provide essential educational resources and support to underprivileged children in public schools. This laudable effort aligns with the local government’s commitment to promoting quality education and community development.

The Executive Chairman, represented by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Idris Abubakar, expressed appreciation to the proprietors for their willingness to partner with the local government. The CSR Unit will coordinate the initiative, ensuring its successful implementation.

This collaborative effort sets a precedent for community-driven development in Amuwo-Odofin, fostering a culture of social responsibility and collective impact.
