Nigerian man overseas in disbelief as he experiences blackout 2nd time in 35 years
An abroad-based Nigerian man has sparked a wave of reactions online with his humorous response to experiencing a blackout overseas after 35 years of living there.
The man, identified as @BolanleA4 on X (formerly Twitter), took to the platform to share his astonishment and amusement at the situation, drawing comparisons to power outages in Nigeria.
In his post, the man humorously remarked, “NEPA don carry light,” a phrase commonly used in Nigeria.
He noted that this was only the second time he had experienced a power outage in 35 years.
Unlike in Nigeria, where generators are often used to cope with blackouts, he mentioned that there was no generator available, meaning he and others would have to endure the night without electricity.
“Nepa don carry light ……2nd time in 35 years…There is no gen, so we shall just go to bed.
Accompanying his post was a picture showing his environment in darkness, emphasizing the unusual occurrence.
However, @BolanleA4 did not mention the country where the blackout happened.
