After crying out for help online, a young Nigerian lady helped her mother sell all 220 bread loaves baked on the wrong church event date.

The lady identified as @lola_mewu had explained in a tweet that quickly went viral how her mother had mistakenly baked products a week earlier than the intended event.

Faced with the prospect of wasted effort and goods, Lola pleaded for support, calling on her followers to help her mother sell the surplus bread.

The response was overwhelming, with people retweeting the post and placing orders for the loaves. In just a few hours, she and her mother sold all 220 loaves, thanks to the power of social media and the kindness of strangers.

Giving an update about the bread sales, she applauded Nigerians for the community support, particularly a Nigerian abroad who paid for bulk to be shared with the needy.

Her mother also took to the platform to appreciate the support of everyone who saved her from the great loss.

“I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for the outpouring of support and likes on my daughter’s post about the incident that occurred yesterday. We sold out all 220 loaves of bread, and we are truly grateful for each and every one of you. May the Lord bless you all,” she wrote.
