Breaking: Wolves sack head coach Gary O’Neil after defeat to Ipswich, post-Match chaos
Wolverhampton Wanderers have parted ways with manager Gary O’Neil following their 2-1 loss to Ipswich Town on Saturday.
The defeat left the team languishing in 19th place in the Premier League.
It also marked the culmination of a dismal run of form for Wolves, who have managed just two wins this season.
Jack Taylor’s injury-time winner for Ipswich, compounded by chaotic post-match scenes, proved to be the breaking point for O’Neil, who had been in charge for 18 months.

The match began disastrously for Wolves with a funny own goal, though Matheus Cunha temporarily restored hope with an equalizer.
However, Taylor’s late header sealed the loss in what was a critical relegation battle.
Tensions boiled over at full-time, with Wolves players embroiled in an ugly brawl.
Cunha was accused of punching and elbowing an Ipswich security staff member, even damaging his glasses, while Rayan Ait-Nouri confronted Ipswich’s Wes Burns in a heated exchange.
Ait-Nouri was eventually carried off by a Wolves coach and later received a red card in the tunnel.
The club are now searching for O’Neil’s successor as they aim to turn their season around and escape the relegation zone.
